Dear students, parents, and friends of Northern California Music & Art Culture Center!
NCMACC is pleased to announce the launching of its blog through which we will keep you posted about our news, events, innovations, and other important information. Here, you will be able to find photos and other media from our recitals, leave a feedback, and get most up-to-date information regarding NCMACC‘s activity.
We’d like to remind you, dear readers, about programs offered by NCMACC:
- Studio Program which provides individualized and group instruction in art and music to learners of all ages on a weekly basis.
- The acclaimed International Summer Music Festival which has been running successfully for 13 years. It offers 3 weeks of intensive study and performance opportunities to talented young musicians, teaming them with outstanding faculty from around the world.
- Chamber Music Program which is an excellent opportunity for young players to enhance their musical abilities, improve their performance confidence, and develop interpersonal skills within small group settings.
- Internship opportunities through Youth Development Program.
- The Moon-Hwa Cultural Program which fosters the reclamation of Korean language and culture through the Korean-American Youth Musical Group (KAYMG) – a performing arts group specializing in traditional Korean drumming.
- The highly successful DCYF-funded project WREACH OUT (Western Addition and Richmond Education, Arts and Culture Helping to support Open minds, Understanding, and Togetherness) which promotes artistic development and fosters intercultural understanding and cooperation among San Francisco’s Asian and African-American children and youth through low-cost after-school music and arts instruction and performance. In its 8th year of operation, WREACH OUT’s arts education curriculum addresses children’s needs to develop a positive cultural identity while learning to appreciate the art and music of cultures of other groups.
Thank you for visiting us and we look forward to seeing you again!
Best regards,
NCMACC Staff.
