Jordan Wise:
I love playing piano because it’s fun and interesting. I like making music and learning the pieces. My favorite piano pieces are “Snake Charmer”, “Spanish Caballero”, and “Dragon Hunt”. I study with Christian who is a very nice teacher. He encourages me a lot and is not too strict. I look forward to piano recitals. It’s fun to practice every day to prepare and I’m not nervous when I play during the recital. Besides playing piano, I like reading, soccer, tetherball, swimming, gymnastics, having sleepovers with my friends, helping my dad with gardening, helping my mom cook and playing Four Square with my brother Noah. In school, my favorite subjects are reading and writing, social studies, especially learning about different countries and science, such as learning about space. In the fall, I will be entering the third grade at Claire Lilienthal School.
Noah Wise:
I love playing the piano because it’s fun. I like learning new songs but I also like just playing anything that comes out. My favorite pieces are “Irish Dance”, “I’ve Got Music” and “Spanish Guitar”. My piano teacher Jiyon is a master at the piano. I like studying with Jiyon because she’s nice and gives me candy.
My other hobbies are soccer, drawing, playing with friends, playing Four Square with my sister Jordan, wrestling with my dad, and cuddling with my mom. In school, I like math, writing journals and this past year in science, we watched a caterpillar turn into a cocoon and then a butterfly. I will be in first grade at Claire Lilienthal School in the fall.

I am 9.5 years old and started playing piano when I was 5. I started playing piano because I used to listen to music for hours and wish I could play music like that. When I grow up I want to be either a soccer player because I love playing it and am good at it or a piano or a clarinet player because I love music. I like the song “Star Wars” because I like the marching rhythm and the grand sound of it. I will always remember when I got up at a recital and played “Star Wars” the best I could in front of a whole lot of people. I think music changes people’s lives because if they have gone through something challenging and hard, music will help them feel better.
